I love that you teach K. I taught Grade 1 for 7 years. Also a 21 year old and a 3 year old? I like that. We have 11 years between our oldest and youngest which now seems like nothing. ;)
Hi Sue, I teach 4th grade and often find that my students are better than I am at troubleshooting our iPads. It's funny to learn that kindergartners are also this tech savvy! It always amazes me, especially when it is that kiddo who never seems to hear what you say, is disorganized, or has difficulty completing assignments, yet he knows his way around an iPad and can teach his classmates how to use it. I love the way their tech skills can often be a source of confidence or pride from some of my students who may struggle in other areas.
I look forward to learning with you in this course.
Kindergarten amazes me daily! Last year I had a student who was amazing at coding. I was clueless and he was helping me and all of the other students. He was very proud!
Hello! Welcome to the class! Teaching elementary always sounds daunting to me. Congratulations on being one to one. What device is your school using? I love what you said about learning along with the kids. I first learned about Powtoon when a student asked if they could use it for a project. I look forward to working together!
Hi Genny, Kindergarten and first grade students use nexus tablets and 2nd - 12th use chrome books. I've learned so many neat apps through taking these courses at Wilkes too!
Hey Susan, your video is set to private.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know. I will work on that because I thought I set to to Public.
DeleteI changed the setting in youtube to share publicly. I think that is what I did wrong.

ReplyDeleteEveryone tells me that my little one will keep me young! Looking forward to learning in this class!
